What I am wearing: black teardrop earrings, black jumper from Roman Originals, jeans from H&M, red Ray Ban’s and patent black mesh heels.
OK, I am purposely downplaying the outfit for this reason: SHOES. Someone please tell me how to wear these. Cause I cannot figure it out, and it is driving me mad. Because, well, LOOK AT THEM. ASDGHFLEOMG.
Would it be acceptable to wander around naked with only these shoes? Scrap that, I cannot be responsible for a Raiders of the Lost Ark melting face epidemic.
Also, I love these jeans. The photograph does not really do them justice. There are parts that look like acid wash, but since it does not overpower the general fabric it does not look too “80′s trend revival”.
So. Shoes. Purtyful. Halp?
What I am wearing: Military style coat from Roman Originals, grey long-sleeved shirt, black waist-high shorts, tights and black patent heels.
New military awesome coat is awesome. I am rather new to this look since I do not own much that is overtly military (I mean, do red berets count? I do not know.) so this is a first for me. It looks a bit bigger than it actually is — the fit is really good, and the sleeves have a seam which give them this puffed up exaggerated look. (I do not actually know what I am talking about. I just really like the coat.)
My hair is also strangely androgynous today. I rather like it.
ETA: Doesn’t my new coat also remind you of Cheryl Cole’s outfit in ‘Fight for this love’? I do not really like the song, but I keep thinking about it every time I wear it.
What I am wearing: blue sheer tunic from Roman Originals, sparkly black shorts, black tights, patent black court shoes from New Look and gold-diamanté watch (DW0220) by Dolce and Gabbana.
More blinging-Christmas-ornament-mimicry for another Christmas do. I ended up being a little overdressed but since its Christmas it is all good. Besides I thought we were going clubbing, but as it turned out it was too fracking freezing to do anything but drink Amaretto in a cosy house. Which suits me fine.
Also, I have been naughty and not updating so I am going to make up for it by posting two outfits today :) Hopefully it will be enough to get me off Santa’s bad list.
What I am wearing: symmetrical pattern dress, blue-violet belt, red-violet tights, red-violet velvet heels and gold-diamanté watch (DW0220) by Dolce and Gabbana.
Party time! I contemplated not wearing the belt, but the dress is very shapeless without it. I also had a conflict with the clashing purples and clashing blinging watch but then it grew on me. It is Christmas after all, and I wanted to look like a walking Christmas decoration.
What I am wearing: grey knit beret, charcoal blazer from Ann Taylor, owl pendant, red Ray Ban’s, denim shorts, tights and black patent heels.
This look was inspired by the blazer and denim shorts trend. Which is awesome, cause I am a blazer kind of girl. Some posts in the future may involve me photographing my wardrobe or various items of clothing, including said blazers. Stay tuned.
Finally fixed my hair too. It is not as long as it was, unfortunately, due to a blunt scissor mishap which turned something relatively simple into a complete disaster. Got the colour fixed too so it is no longer a weird blacky, greeny flat thing.
As it turns out my natural hair is around a five or six (ten being the lightest). I dyed it a three, and the hairdresser made sure to make me feel as retarded as possible for doing so. But it is all good now, and now I am truly ready to grow it out a bit :)
Realisation number ten: Donating is something I feel strongly about, especially when it comes to unused things — in this case, clothes. Donating is a sustainable (and charitable) act, which I feel is the responsibility of every consumer. If you are a hoarder I recommend storing clothes away for a long period of time. If you do not miss it you can donate it.
Realisation number eleven: I have gone on a few hiatuses since this project started. It is easy to make up excuses when procrastination takes over, but honestly it was never my intention. The previous posts where I have been unable (or simply refused) to document my dressing manners have been genuine.
And tomorrow, I am going to wear a dress. Shocking.
Since I am flat-out broke, I cannot afford highlights. As I cannot afford highlights, I decided to buy some hair dye and do something similar to my natural hair colour (so when I grow it out, the fugly highlighted tips will not be as noticeable).
I bought a box of dark brown (as I am a mousey darkish colour). Dark brown my ass.
I now have cheap, emo-looking black hair. Black as black can be. And it is simply awful. I look like Pete Wentz. Who is a man.
Thinking perhaps it looked awful because it emphasizes the imbalance of my pixie crop growing-out i.e. stupidly long fringe, long hair on the back of my neck, stupid amounts of volume on top, I decided to give my fringe a quick trim. Usually this is not a problem (I always trim my own fringe because it grows quick, and I can do it reasonably well), but my regular scissors went missing. So I had to use huge, blunted ones instead.
There is really no need for me to carry on describing what has happened. So no pictures until my hair is somehow fixed via a) shaving it off or b) suicide.
What I am wearing: grey coat from Select, Dooney and Bourke inspired handbag, silver heart pendant, grey long-sleeved shirt, red pencil skirt from American Apparel, black tights and patent black court shoes from New Look.
No hat!
And my hair is starting to get long :)
What I am wearing: red knit beanie, silver owl pendant, Dooney and Bourke inspired handbag, black cardigan, black long-sleeved shirt, red pencil skirt from American Apparel, black tights and black lace-up boots.
This outfit is dedicated to the colour red, which was a trending topic on Twitter today. It is being used to promote charities for World AIDS Day, which is a good cause and enough reason to love the colour.
Aside from that, red is a colour I am obsessed about. It is a colour that makes me happy.
My mum recently got back from Houston. The necklace, beanie and handbag are all gifts from my family over the ocean — I am very stoked with all my presents! And of course, I am also grateful for my family’s good taste.
On a final note, I have to plug American Apparel for the skirt I am wearing.
It is possibly the most versatile piece of clothing I own. It can be worn as a mini-dress, a short skirt or a waist high skirt. It can be layered with a t-shirt, long-sleeved shirt, vest or buttoned blouse. It can be belted or worn plain.
It can be dressed up and dressed down. It can be worn in summer and in winter. The material is super comfortable, good quality, stretchy and fitted without emphasizing lumps and bumps. It does not look worn out after the first wash and the colour does not fade.
One day I will buy it in every colour. Then I will open a shrine where people can flock and worship the god of all skirts.
I had an awful joke lined up about the similarities between my short hair and how I like my men, but I will spare you. This is not that sort of blog, and I am not that sort of blogger. What sort of blogger I am is one with short hair.
I like my pixie crop because long hair scares me. Whenever I try to imagine myself with long hair, I envision a manly metal-head version of Pocahontas.
Then I found these photos in the dark corners of Facebook.

As my aunt would say — my hair needs therapy. Thoughts? Long or short?

What I am wearing: cream knit beanie, Russian doll earrings from ASOS, (red) Gap hoodie, long sleeved black shirt, denim dress, black leggings and biker boots.
I am actually wearing a lot more than the above, but it is mostly layers for warmth. The cold has a habit of kicking my ass. Maybe I should pile on the blubber.
Also, new website and pretty design which isn’t a typographically stupid template!
Also also, contact lenses!
