What I am wearing: grey knit beret, charcoal blazer from Ann Taylor, owl pendant, red Ray Ban’s, denim shorts, tights and black patent heels.
This look was inspired by the blazer and denim shorts trend. Which is awesome, cause I am a blazer kind of girl. Some posts in the future may involve me photographing my wardrobe or various items of clothing, including said blazers. Stay tuned.
Finally fixed my hair too. It is not as long as it was, unfortunately, due to a blunt scissor mishap which turned something relatively simple into a complete disaster. Got the colour fixed too so it is no longer a weird blacky, greeny flat thing.
As it turns out my natural hair is around a five or six (ten being the lightest). I dyed it a three, and the hairdresser made sure to make me feel as retarded as possible for doing so. But it is all good now, and now I am truly ready to grow it out a bit :)
Realisation number ten: Donating is something I feel strongly about, especially when it comes to unused things — in this case, clothes. Donating is a sustainable (and charitable) act, which I feel is the responsibility of every consumer. If you are a hoarder I recommend storing clothes away for a long period of time. If you do not miss it you can donate it.
Realisation number eleven: I have gone on a few hiatuses since this project started. It is easy to make up excuses when procrastination takes over, but honestly it was never my intention. The previous posts where I have been unable (or simply refused) to document my dressing manners have been genuine.
And tomorrow, I am going to wear a dress. Shocking.
What I am wearing: cream knit beanie, Russian doll earrings from ASOS, (red) Gap hoodie, long sleeved black shirt, denim dress, black leggings and biker boots.
I am actually wearing a lot more than the above, but it is mostly layers for warmth. The cold has a habit of kicking my ass. Maybe I should pile on the blubber.
Also, new website and pretty design which isn’t a typographically stupid template!
Also also, contact lenses!
What I am wearing: Navy oversized knit, denim shorts, grey ribbed tights, grey high-heeled boots, grey knit gloves, grey knit beret, green scarf, heart pendant on a long necklace and my red Ray Ban’s.
Realisation number six: I do not get dressed everyday. My work keeps me at home most days where I am doing an Ma, so my only outings during the day are generally to the shop. And when I go to the shops I generally wear a hoodie over my pyjamas. And that would mean I would really live up to the name of this blog.
Realisation number seven: I like the ninja scarf look. So warm.
Realisation number eight: I realise that I have a lot of shoes that I do not know how to wear. So in the end I wear a few pairs only. Expect posts asking for advice on how to wear certain shoes of mine.
Realisation number nine: This photo looks far more relaxed than some of my previous ones, right? I think I am getting used to this ‘being photographed’ lark.
What I am wearing: cream bobble-hat knit, oversized red-violet knit, denim dress shirt, striped shirt, black leggings, black biker boots, silver heart pendant, lavender mittens, patent shoulder bag and red Ray Bans.
I know it is an awful cliché to talk about the weather when you live in England, but here goes. Let us talk about the weather. We are having a really bad storm at the moment with gale force winds of about 70mph+ and torrential rain. The Isle of Wight is closed and our fence is in the neighbour’s garden.
The forest breaks up the gales. I love the sound of it howling through the damp autumn landscape. It makes me conscious of how the trees breathe and move. It is also exhausting to walk through with a hyperactive puppy.
Basil got so muddy we had to bathe him too. And he likes to jump out and run around everywhere mid-bath. So I am now doubly exhausted. And speckled with bits of water with mud mixed in. Very nice.
Time for a nice warm bath and a long relaxing read methinks.
What I am wearing: grey knit beret, mauve scarf and gloves from Principles, oversized knit from Roman Originals (the shop my mum works in, hehe), skinny jeans, indigo boots from Faith, heart pendant on a long chain, patent shoulder bag and red Ray Ban’s.
Dog walking again. It rained and was generally yucky.
